Question on Lawyers

How do you go about finding a good lawyer?

Would you trust the recommendation of a friend or should you try the phonebook?

I guess I could ask my Father as he is a lawyer, but that doesn't necessarily mean that he knows any decent Family law attorneys in my area.

I know I need one. Just don't know what's the best way to do it.
