GRAD DAY!!

It's been forever and a day it seems since I have posted which is horrible!

But I have been busy. Yes the typical excuse I know.

Good news .....Elder has now graduated 8th grade!!!

It was such a great ceremony! We had friends come to visit and of course the little one couldn't help but make his presence known!

In the end even the little one was clapping and cheer along with me and our row of people who came support my eldest boy.

He Did IT!!!

And we could not be more Proud!

Cheney Says SO?

In a recent interview about reaching the five year mark in Iraq, Vice- President Dick Cheney said "So?" when told that the majority of Americans do not support this war and want the troops home now.

SO?  What kind of answer is this?  I knew the man was arrogant, but even this is unbelievable!

On another war note - Bush says we are doing well now due to the surge.  I have see reports that we are now doing well because the army is doing what the insurgents wanted in the first place...they are bribing them not to attack.

If this is the case, then the progress made truly isn't progress is it???

2008 Politics

I guess it's time to focus on the presidential election for 2008.

I am a registered independent in a state that has closed primaries. This means I am watching on the sidelines until the big election. But I am getting interested in what is going on for the Democratic side of the ticket.

I was marginally interested last December when there was just a lot of talking and bandying for position. Now that there have been a few primaries, it seems people's true colors are starting to bleed through.

I have been listening to the tone of the debates and the exchanges of late and see some pettiness coming out of candidates. I am not sure if it's arrogance on their part or if they are really not that in touch with most of the populace.

This race really has become generational. It seems those who are older and OK with the tried and true from the 90's are going with one candidate and those looking for real change (not just change in the party at the top) are going for the other.

Feb 5th is going to be a huge, huge day. 20 States primaries are happening and this will probably see a few more members drop out of each race.

Who would have thought a day would come when the political pundits are calling White Male voters the swing vote??

Happy New Year!!

It's that time of year again....yes to say I haven't been writing nearly as much as I should.

I did finally take pictures for the Holiday week in December. What was nice was that J's birthday was 5 days before Christmas.

To say he had a good time is an understatment. Ok I think I had a better time then he did, but hey....I am entitled!

We also went to church service for Christmas, but of course J is such a wiggly worm, we ended up in the Nursery where he played. I found out he really like pushing strollers. Which explained why he didn't want to be in his anymore and wanted to push.

Christmas day at the house was great. Both boys we happy that they got stuff. I was EXTREMELY fortunate that a local charity donated toys, clothes, books and other things to the family for Christmas, I didn't know what I was going to do.

It's hard to tell a 14 year old that there is no money to do anything. I have learned to appreciate when people want to help!

Oh wait, I just realized I haven't put up any pics of the elder....

Here's One:

My B-day

Yes here is where I shamelessly plug that it's my birthday today!!!

Yay Me!

I went out with friends last night and had an absolute blast!

I decided to go to a place called Barcelona Wine and Tapas bar. I Love Love Love this place. The people there are friendly, the food divine and it's a great place to have friends. The Atmosphere is amazing and I just can't say enough about it.

It's a perfect place to start a night of hanging out.

Afterward we headed to Rowley's Tavern where we heard a terrific live band.

Great night all around!
