two trips to the hospital this week

and I have decided that I hate IV's with a passion.

I mean MAN, they hurt going in AND coming out. And the nurse says..."little sting"

Hi, I surfed in from BE and was struck by this post. My mother has had several surgeries last year, which meant a lot of IVs. Did you know that if you fuss enough, they can actually give you a teeny anesthetic so the IV doesn't hurt? If it happens again, ask for this. If they don't give it to you, pitch a panic attack as soon as the needle comes near. They'll listen, then. :)

I have had IV's before and I can honestly say that they they made my hand ache so much. I was bruised and sore for weeks after they had been removed. And the needles are just way too long, especially when your skin is thin and you can see the needle beneath it. YUK!

God Bless!
