Another Sad day for me...The saddest in a while

My "Daddy" passed away today.

My Grandfather whom I can't fathom this life without, passed away today after more than 80 years in this world.

He was the rock of the family, everyone called him Daddy, because he was a father to all of us.

To say I will miss him is one of the biggest understatements of all time.

So My life as it was is now done

I love vague titles!

My life with my previous job is over, 9 years of ups and downs has come to an end. I get a three day weekend to rest and then navigate to the new place and begin to make my way there.

Am I excited?

YES!

I am not even scared anymore. Opportunities come by for a reason, I believe this whole heartedly.

The good news as my mom sees it is that I can now clean the house up a bit. Do some laundry and shopping.

And my happy though is I can sleep late!

Baby Shower

No I am not having one, but I went to a good friend's this weekend. It was a blast!

For me, it was great because there were people there I had not seen for months and in some cases years!

My very Preggie friend is about to have a little girl. And the presents came the cutest outfits! I did the practical route. I got washcloths, receiving blankets, bottles, bottle liners, a travel set, bibs and newborn diapers. Plus a gift card for those little things that we might have missed.

We were asked to put thought, words of wisdom or jokes on an index card. I though this was a great idea. And lots of different types of advice were given.

There were two other babies there because of course I brought J. Who was a hit! Oh my! He got passed around and he smiled and played and was a charmer! There was a boy who was a month younger. He was adorable, but not so much a pass around...A little shy.

The house that the party took place was nice, but the backyard was amazing...Gardens here and there little nooks for sitting, shaded areas sunny areas - a trampoline and pingpong table...The perfect outdoor place for a party!

I had a great time and the food was decadent - just what I needed!

New Beginnings

I got the JOB!!!!!

I am so happy I could shout! A new job that starts on the 18th of July. Amazing, new things to learn and new opportunities to grow. It's funny, it's not the job I applied for, someone else got that over me because they had a bit more experience. I was offered a job that recently became available and was the first name on this list!

Do you know how great it is to feel that people are excited to work with you? I haven't had that feeling in a long time. Now it's going to be a bit of a transition to make but I think I will have the traveling bit down to a science by the start of the school year. And by that time I should have enough Vacation hours accrued to take a half day for my elder son's teacher's meetings.

I firmly believe that this was the right time for me to move and am confident that I can make the most of my new position. Wow I am happy!
