Been a very rough week

I must say, it's been a really bad week. Trying to adjust from working so many hours and the weather being all over the place, has left me feeling lethargic at best and down right sick most of the time.

I have also found that insomnia doesn't help matters at all.

So its been over a week since I have said anything. Luckily for me I have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday. This appointment will also verify something that I have suspected for a bit now. And will basically open a whole new can of worms of emotions and such. Hopefully this will also bring some relief to my symptoms.

Ok I am not going to complain about allergies today

Actually I am not going to complain at all today.

*cough*

ok I will try not to complain too much.
New week, my last week of working 6 days in a row...yay! I have made another little selfish commitment to myself. I am going to commit to going to get conditioning treatments for my hair every 2 - 3 weeks.

Why is this important? because i have been trying to grow my hair past my shoulders for as long as I can remember and every time it gets the perfect length, it breaks and i have to cut it. I hate that. This time, after taking out the braids I had in my hair on and off for six months, I got it the length I want, and more important, it's healthy :)

So this is why i will put this time aside for me, now that I get my two days off again.


On Saturday I went with my son to see Revenge of the Sith. I must say I enjoyed it, but truthfully, what I enjoyed the most was the gasps of awe coming from all the little boys mouths.

you know the ones I mean, the little boys aged 4 - 45? hehehe

The theater was half full and I can say that more then 60% of the audience was male. Normally a girl would like these statistics.
There was absolute silence in some parts of the film, and there was a bit of laughter as well. My son liked it enough to make lightsaber sounds - to this day (he might not live to see his 12th birthday in july) There was applause at the end of the film and it wasn't just polite applause, it was very mush enjoyed.

I guess that's why it grossed 108 million already. not to shabby

Allergies

This spring is so pretty, flowers blooming, green trees, lush green lawns......
rain
Pollen
Hay Fever
Runny Nose
Itchy Eyes....ugh!

This is reported to be the worst season for pollen ever, experts state due to the early warmth and rain in creasing the moisture, Pollen counts are high and this is making more and more people run to the store to grab anti histimine.

Joy, I don't mind over the counter Anti histimine, much, but it make me zone out. and gives me a headache. So which is better? itchy eyes and runny noses or Headache a zoning out all day?

I'm still perplexed

Pollen and Allergies

This past week has been horrible for me with Pollen. It's usually not that bad here but this year...It's like walking into a wind tunnel of pollen and getting all those nasty side effects.

The runny nose, sneezing, itchy eyes...It's horrible!

and my problem is, if I take something, like Benadryl or the like, I may be able to breathe and not sneeze, but then I would be drowsy and out of it.

Ok I admit it

I fudged on my deal to write more, but I am not going to do that anymore.

I didn't fudge on my workout goal though and I am pretty happy about that. Now the big thing is to keep it up.

I have noticed when spring rolls around and there is pollen in the air.... the act of breathing gets hard. My throat itches, my eyes itch... my nose feels like a mini faucet. My mom calls it Hay fever, I call it a pain in my tookus.

I have other symptoms but I think I will leave those for another post....



I must say I have been reading some interesting blogs out there. I will still link back to those articles I think were cool.

This week will start a busy time

Work being work, we all have to spruce up on skills and do training, which I think makes perfect sense. Now because most of my area gets the opportunity do training at the same time, I get to look for ward to 9 to 12 hours a day , 6 days a week for the next month.

now let's look at this objectively....money, yes I will be paid overtime...
Will my son remember who I am after the month is up, probably.....but I will be known as the woman called mom who answers that cell phone and says "Everything ok? uh huh, how was school? uh huh... ok good, did you do your homework? umm hmmm uh huh ok and Mommy has to go right now, don't go outside without letting me know and no inviting people in and stop feeding your friends with my food. Love you hun, give you a kiss when i get in."

yeah I am a bad mommy *sigh*
